Practical Lifestyle Changes

Living a healthier life is a process.  Commit to yourself to start by choosing to make better decisions in your actions.  Here are a few examples: drink at least one glass of water before you put anything else in your body in morning; eat at least one vegetable a day , not including french fries; park farther from the door to wherever you shop; and, get a minimum of 5-hours of restful sleep nightly.

Improving Fitness

Start getting up only 15-minutes earlier and do 5 minutes of stretches, 5 minutes of walking in place, if oyu do not have access to a treadmill; and, 5 minutes of strength building using 3-5 pound objucts in your home that you can hold onto reasonably, if you do not have dumb bells.  Just 5 minutes each to get you started on your transformation, incrementally, increase your time.

Pre-and Post-Healthy Lifestyle coaching

Pre healthy lifestyle coaching, take an honest assessment of where you are, your readiness to make changes, and determine where you would like to be in the next 6-months, 1-year and for a lifetime.  Your coach should provide you with an instrument to get you started.  At the end of your first 90-days, assess your progress, and dteremine how you will move forward...with or without a lifestyle coach.

Top 10 Healthy Tips & Tidbits

Following is a brief list of some essential tips and techniques that will help you improve your present state of health.  Don't take my word that they really, work, try them for yourself.  Become your own experimental scientist and keep track of your results.

1  Adequate Restful Sleep

Adequate sleep is essential, however, that sleep needs to be peaceful and restful.  Relieve your mind of busy thoughts by reading a good book or listening to soft soothing music in your very dark bedroom.

2  Nutritioius Fruits & Vegetables

Eating fruits and vegetables daily may be a challenge for you.  Try drinking natural fruit or vegetable juices or having dried fruits as a snack.  This is a start...

3  Physical Activities

Take a walk - go for a hike, around your neighborhood if you can't find a partner or group.  Try Meetup to find groups in your area. Get up and walk around your home several times, for starters.

4  Mental Activities

Try neurobics.  When brushing your teeth or combing/brushing your hair, use your non-dominant hand.  When in the shower, close your eyes and locate the faucet handles to control the water flow.

5  Social Activities

Commit to simlpy being friendly by giving someone without a smile one of yours.  Greet the cashier with a friendly how are you today. Speak to your neighbors. Do this to start your interactions with others.

6  Meditation & Willpower

Try just 5 minutes of quiet, uninterupted, focused meditation 3 - 5 time a week.  You will be as amazed I was at how well it works. Not sure how to, go here.

Replacement vs. Deprivation

Studies have provrn that is you deprive yourself of certain things, let's say food items due to your diet,  you have a greater chance of binge eating.  Instead, choose to replace the item with a better choice.

Supplementation

Dietary supplements are intended to enhance your dietary nutritional needs.  Beware that all supplements are not equal.  Some research about the manufacturer is wise.  I take my all nautal supplements every day.

Juicing & Smoothies

The National Cancer Institute suggests you 'eat more fruits and vegetables' daily. Juicing & healthy smoothies will help prevent or cure a wide range of ailments.

A positive outlook on life is guaranteed to garner more favorable emotions in your life, including love, joy, hope, happiness and good health, and has been scientifically proven
